Abstract & Workshop Awards

MAC 2025 – Abstract & Workshop Awards

We are excited to announce that three awards will be presented during the 14th MUNICH VASCULAR CONFERENCE (MAC) to recognize outstanding contributions from abstract presenters and workshop participants:

🏆 Award Categories

  • Best Poster Presentation – for the most compelling ePoster submitted via the abstract submission process
  • Best Endovascular Performance – awarded to the top performer in the endovascular hands-on workshop
  • Best Open Surgical Performance – awarded to the top performer in the open surgical hands-on workshop

Each award includes a €500 prize and free registration for MAC 2026.

Session and workshop chairs will evaluate participants using a standardized scoring sheet to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.

The Award Cermony will take place on Friday, 5 December at 17:00.

You will be informed about the status of your abstract as soon as the program is finalized.

Guidelines for preparing your abstract:

  • The language of the conference is English. Therefore, all abstracts should be prepared in English.
  • The title should be as brief as possible, should not end with a full stop and should not include abbreviations.
  • For all authors, please provide the family name preceded by the initial(s) as well as the affiliation
  • A maximum of 10 authors is allowed
  • Use standard abbreviations where appropriate in the main body of the abstract. Place special or unusual abbreviations in brackets after the full word the first time they appear.
  • Drugs must be referred to by their approved name rather than their proprietary name.
  • Criteria for rejection will include lack of data and lack of originality. Do not use phrases such as “the results will be discussed”.
  • For presenting authors of accepted abstracts, registration and participation in this conference is mandatory.

Requirements

  • The author submitting the abstract must be a registered delegate at the conference.
  • All abstracts must be in line with the abstract submission guidelines.
  • Submitted research abstracts are considered for virtual poster presentation.
  • Abstract acceptance and presentation: Authors will be notified of the status of their abstract as soon as possible.

Important Information

  • If you are submitting more than one abstract, you can use the same email address for each abstract.
  • Abstracts must be submitted online. Abstracts submitted via e-mail, post, or other methods will generally not be accepted.

Assessment and screening

  • Abstracts will be assessed by the Abstract Review Committee after the submission deadline.
  • All abstracts submitted will be screened for relevance to the meetings scientific content, and presentation.
  • Abstracts not meeting the quality standards will not be accepted.

Authors will be notified of the status of their abstract as soon as possible. Kindly note that the submitting person receives all notifications about the submitted abstract via email.
