Dear colleagues, esteemed participants of the MUNICH VASCULAR CONFERENCE (MAC),
It is with great honor and pleasure that I extend this heartfelt invitation to you for the upcoming 13th MUNICH VASCULAR CONFERENCE (MAC), scheduled to take place exclusively as a face-to-face symposium on December 5 – 6, 2024 at the University Hospital of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Building upon the legacy of its predecessors, this esteemed gathering has become a tradition in the field of vascular medicine, fostering valuable exchanges between clinicians and colleagues from translational and basic vascular research.
I am humbled to assume the responsibility of organizing this conference, succeeding the late Prof. Dr. Hans-Henning Eckstein, who, sadly, passed away earlier this year. Professor Eckstein played a pivotal role in shaping the success of the previous conferences, and I am committed to upholding his legacy by elevating the 13th MAC to new heights.
The MAC has always been a platform for robust discussions, and I am proud to inform you that the tradition continues.
The symposium will cover a comprehensive spectrum of vascular diseases, providing an opportunity for clinicians and researchers to mutually benefit from the wealth of knowledge shared. The scientific faculty for the 13th MAC will be composed of world-class speakers and key opinion leaders in the field of arterial and venous diseases, as well as experts in artificial intelligence and digital vascular medicine. Our focus will encompass critical aspects of endovascular, open surgical, and the best medical treatment options for vascular patients.

At the last face-to-face meeting 2019 we experienced a record participation of more than 600 attendees. In 2021 we could attract far more than 1.000 online-participants from 71 countries. In 2022 the event was also held as digital conference with 620 participants. Fortunately
the conference could again be a hybrid meeting in 2023. There we welcomed 350 attendees on-site and 200 participants online.
